Allu Arjun is currently acting in Pushpa 2-The Rule directed by Sukumar. He plays the role of Pushparaj, a smuggler. There are scenes in the film where this character is drunk and violent in some scenes. A pan masala-liquor brand had approached Allu Arjan and the film's crew to show their brand's logo on screen while showing these scenes. They offered Allu Arjun ten crore rupees to do this. Allu Arjun rejected this offer.
This is not the first time that Allu Arjun has faced the publicity of intoxicants. After the release of the first part of Pushpa, a tobacco company invited Allu Arjun to act in their television advertisement. Even then the actor refused that offer. Fahadh Faaz plays the lead role in the film. The Rashmika Mandana starrer is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Maitri Movie Makers.
The film will be released in five languages namely Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Allu Arjun will play Sandalwood smuggler Pushparaja in the film. Fahad plays the villain Banwar Singh Shekhawat IPS in the film. It is reported that Fahad will have more screen space in the second part than in the first part. The crew is trying to bring 'Pushpa: The Rule' to the theaters on August 15, 2024.
